In October 1999  LifeCare Medical Services was purchased by James Caplinger.

In September 2000 LifeCare expanded to Columbus with the Central Ohio Division.

In September of 2001 LifeCare opened it's Northeast Ohio Division with locations now serving Akron, Medina, Stow, and Canton.  All administrative, billing, and dispatch functions were moved to Uniontown, Ohio in May of 2001.

LifeCare opened a Southwest Ohio Division in October of 2002 including stations in Springdale and Hamilton.

Today, LifeCare Medical Services employs over 200 field and administrative support members and operates a fleet of vehicles from satellite locations in southwest, central, and northeast Ohio.
